Members of Parliament from Oulu constituency visit Terrafame

A group of MPs from the Oulu constituency has visited Terrafame to become acquainted with the company's operations. During the visit, they were given a general introduction to Terrafame and briefed on its latest developments. They were also given a bus tour of the industrial area.

The discussions highlighted Terrafame’s regional and national economic impacts in particular, as well as the company's recently announced plan to invest in battery chemical production supporting growth in the use of electric vehicles. Terrafame receives groups of visitors on a weekly basis and topics of discussion are chosen in accordance with the visitors’ interests.

On this occasion, the visitors representing the Oulu constituency included Katja Hänninen (Left Alliance), Marisanna Jarva (Centre Party), Timo Korhonen (Centre Party), Antti Rantakangas (Centre Party), Tapani Tölli (Centre Party) and Mirja Vehkaperä (Centre Party). The group also included Anu Tervonen, Managing Director of the regional employers’ organisation Kainuun Yrittäjät ry, and Janne Mäkinen and Anna-Kaarina Uusitalo, assistants to the Members of Parliament.
